Gadime Cave
A marble cave with crystal formations that grow sideways — one of very few places in the world where they do.
Discovered by a villager in 1966 while cutting stone, the Gadime cave near Lipjan is Kosovo's only show cave. Its marble walls hold stalactites, stalagmites and rare aragonite crystals that grow at strange, near-horizontal angles.
The guided route is short — under an hour — and the temperature stays around ten degrees all year.
What it actually is
A lit, guided walkway through roughly 1,500 metres of marble cave, of which visitors see a section. Handrails throughout, no equipment needed.
What it feels like
Cool, still and slightly disorienting. The crystal formations look less like geology and more like something grown.

A short, cool interior stop on the way south — good for a hot afternoon, and a natural pairing with the Jezerc forest.
